  Approximately 35 faculty members from 11 technical colleges throughout the state attended the DVS Technical Communications Workshop April 15-16 at the State Museum in Columbia. Sponsored by SC ATE, the workshop featured Dr. Rebecca Burnett of Iowa State University as guest presenter. The workshop focused on effective ways of incorporating workplace communication examples into the classroom, assessment and evaluation, and collaborative activities.

    SC ATE National Visiting Committee / Advisory Board Joint Meeting

The SC ATE National Visiting Committee (NVC), consisting of industrial and educational leaders from across the country, and the SC ATE Advisory Board, consisting of statewide leadership, held a joint meeting in March to critique progress and document accomplishments made by the Center in the past six years. A report to the National Science Foundation will be submitted by the NVC.
