The South Carolina Advanced Technological Education (SC ATE) National Resource Center for Engineering Technology (ET) Education serves as a central resource for the two-year college ET community. The SC ATE National Resource Center's activities focus on best practices and exemplary materials for recruiting and retaining students, as well as for teaching engineering technology. In addition, SC ATE provides resources for potential and current ET students and for industries who hire associate degree ET graduates.
Evaluation activities focus on promoting and assessing the Center's goals and objectives. The Center works cooperatively with external and internal evaluators and its National Visiting Committee to evaluate the Center's progress. Each activity, such as staff development, dissemination activities, adapting and implementing materials, student achievement and success rates, and industry involvement/satisfaction is continuously evaluated via evaluation forms, surveys, interviews, and observations.
